The 2024 Canadian Fencing National Championships in Saskatoon, held from May 17 to May 20, showcased the nation's top fencers in an exhilarating display of skill and athleticism. It was an impressive event, featuring thrilling matches and fierce rivalries as athletes vied for the prestigious title of national champion.
Congratulations to the members of Honor Fencing Club for their outstanding performance at these championships! Their haul of 1 gold medal and 4 silver medals across 12 categories, and 30 placing in their events, truly reflects their hard work, dedication, and skill.
Our medalists include Zhaoxia Kong, who achieved a gold medal in both the Veteran Women’s Sabre and a silver medal in 50+ Mixed Sabre ategories; Sonia Li, who secured a silver medal in the Women’s 15 Sabre; and Julia Shi, who took home two silver medals in the Women’s adet Sabre and Women’s outh Sabre.
With the onsite support of 3 of our world-famous coaches, our athletes were able to train effectively and compete at their best. This is also a reason why the Honor Fencing Club is recognized as one of the most successful clubs in Canada.
